  Welcome
The John Lachman Society

The John Lachman Society was founded by a group of university orthopaedic surgeons concerned with ethics, resident training, quality of patient care, and research. The Society is named in honor of John Lachman, former professor and chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Temple University, to recognize his dedication to patient care, commitment to teaching, and unblemished integrity.

The mission of the Society is to promote these principles by various proactive means and programs.

The Society supports the The John Lachman Orthopedic Research Fund, Inc. which has been established as a charitable, Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, and is in the process of applying to the Internal Revenue Service for recognition of its tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(C)-(3).
